USS Alabama

For today’s outing, we went on a visit to the USS Alabama in Mobile, something we’ve been meaning to do for a while, and something we wanted to do before it got too hot.  It was a super windy day, as you can see in some of the pictures.  I think the boys really enjoyed the visit, the battleship was huge, almost overwhelming inside.  It was a bit of a challenge, with Ari on my back, going down the steep stairs and then back up.  When we went on the submarine, he was on the front, and it was a little easier to navigate even though we had to fit through the tight spaces.  The medical area in the ship was interesting, makes me very glad that medicine has advanced from where it used to be!!  We also got to walk around and see some planes that were different from ones we’ve seen at the naval museum.
