Learning the catechism…

MVI_1063-1We have been teaching the boys the children’s catechism, and it has been really neat to watch them learn and get excited about answering the questions. We started this a while ago with Kaden, and now that he’s older, he’s clearly not only repeating back the answers but is also starting to understand the meaning. I tried to get a video of Asa answering the first questions because he’s really cute, we only got the first two on tape, I’ll have to try again to get more and some of Kaden too. You can find the video here…http://www.flickr.com/photos/lmknutson/5502590241/in/set-72157626022303736/

I couldn’t get it onto the website for some reason today.

The first question is “Who made you?", and Asa answers “God”

The second question is “What else did God make?”, and you can hear Asa say “All things'”

This isn’t in the video, but the third question is “Why did God make you and all things?”, the answer is “For His own glory,” but Asa always says “all things” again, and then when you tell him the right answer, he says “own dory.” It’s very cute!

And Kaden's initial response to "Who were our first parents?" was "Grandmommy and Granddaddy." It took me a little bit to convince him this wasn't true, now he knows it was "Adam and Eve."
