Today Kimberly, Nate, Kaden, Asa Jack and I drove to Bellingrath Gardens to see the Christmas lights. We stopped at the California Dreaming Restaurant for lunch since we saw a sign for it and it's one of Kimberly's favorites. After a yummy lunch and a brief walk into some stores, we continued on. We made it to the gardens in the middle of the afternoon and had some time before the lights came on. So we toured the house and walked around, it was probably the coldest day so far and we froze. Most of the plants looked frozen too. Some of the lights were on early, none of the pictures came out great, but the one below was of one of my favorite trees, full of colorful balls of light.
As it got dark, it got colder and colder. To kill some time before the lights fully came on, we visited the gift store and bought some drinks. We found some yummy rasberry cookies and we shared them with our hot chocolate or sweet tea as the case may be. Here is Kaden enjoying his hot chocolate, which he looked at me and patted his chest and said, "This is coke hot chocolate for these boys." I know the coke part came from the fact that daddy was drinking coke, but I really wasn't sure about the 'these boys' part!
