Today's fun event was going to the beach to watch the blue angels practice. (We saw them from our house yesterday when they were practicing, they flew low and were so loud. At one point, all 6 flew right over our house, closer than the picture above!) The real show is tomorrow, but we had heard the beach would be busy and the traffic bad, so we decided to take the kids today, and even still sat in traffic for a long time!
When we finally made it to the beach, we sat under a pavilion and ate a picnic lunch, I made Asa Jack some mashed blueberries right before we left, he thought they were so yummy but they sure were messy! Kaden ate his sandwich but he liked the pretzels more!
After lunch we headed out to the beach where we played in the sand while we waited for the blue angels, we saw a few other neat planes fly by and Kaden had fun digging with his "shobel." He's still not too interested in the water but Asa Jack really enjoys it. Kaden and Asa both have sunglasses on, so funny. Asa Jack is eating the top for the sunscreen.
